This beautiful nutritious salad is perfect for the holidays. Spring greens, pomegranates and apples support your body with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants building up your immune system as you enjoy these delicious flavors.
Pomegranate Apple Salad is easy to make, even if you are de-seeding your own pomegranate. The secret to de-seeding a pomegranate is to score down the natural edges of the pomegranate and pull it apart. How to Cut and De-Seed a Pomegranate will show how easy this process is. If you prefer, you can also buy pomegranate seeds at a grocery store. I would give the seeds a quick rinse to wash off any preservatives.
Feel free to customize this recipe by substituting pears for the apples or adding any type of nut. I’ve also added some roasted butternut squash making it a heartier salad.
The sweet and savory pomegranate dressing is perfect for this salad. Pomegranates have many healing benefits, as seen in Healing Benefits of Ponegranates. I bring this fruit into my diet for its anti-tumor properties and ability to help breakdown cysts, calcification, and stones.
I hope you enjoy this easy-to-make healing holiday salad with pomegranates! Below this recipe is short video showing how easy it is to make this yummy salad.
